Askold,
Hey, when's next CD coming out? I never tire of your debut, of course, but c'mon, your fans want more!
I heard your music on the last Frontline (about the Saudis) on my new HDTV, and it sounded great (ok, EVERYTHING sounds great on it, but your music is especially... you know what I mean).
While visiting, I noticed that my brother Dennis left you a message, so I thought I would update you on his behalf. His music homepage is http://www.soundclick.com/dennismcelroy
All the best,
Jim
P.S. I can't believe that I've never posted a message to your guestbook before. I guess I hesitated because of my tendency to ramble on. But I won't do that now, oh no, I've gotten over that habit a long time ago. I remember years ago when I used to just go on and on and

Help
I'm trying to obtain a copy of Guitar School April, 1996: 95, which featured Brian May and his tecniques etc, I think there was about 8 pages.
Appreciate any help.
Sorry if it's way off topic.
Regards
Ian.

Hi, Askold.
I saw online that you did a panel for a NARIP thing, and it reminded me of your cool vibe and playing. We played a little way back in Bature (where, I must say, I was following your eighth rule).
Well, I see you've kept up on it and have even written books! I'm still doing music, too, though it has metamorphised. You might check me out at www.janefontana.com
Also, your mp3s aren't working right now with my computer, but as soon as I can remedy it, I want to check out your CD.
I went to see Steve play awhile a go in a great band with just bass and drums. He came to see me play, too, which was an honor and a surprise.
Anyway, congratulations on all your success, and Happy New Year!

Hey Oscar!!! Rich here of "Jolly Holly" days. Lost track of you since we last talked when you were at Guitar World. I think I was still a jarhead back then- can't remember. Gimme a holler if you get out this way, I'll buy ya a banana split or somethin' Fill me in on my other long lost comrades; Zaz, Jerry, Paul, Jan and Areta. WHERE IS EVERYBODY??? For such a crowded place, its sure lonely out here!! I'm in the book.
PS- For nostalgia sake, I got a great picture of you performing on stage circa 1976 with the gang- interesting hair effect- looks well... electrifying. Yours for the asking. Yeeehahah!!

I have never heard a lick of your music. Now I only wish I had when I lived in New York, if it would have thrusted me in the paths of Erik Van Wyck. If someone is reading this and knows him, see's him, plays with him, sings with him, talks to him, emails him...please tell him that his old "Circle Square Ranch" pal is desperatly seeking him. I know he plays with you guys. I've been haunted with the circumstance in which I past him on 9th Street, about 2 years ago. We used to work together. I miss him and want to re-connect. My email is: lorileebutler@yahoo.com

I got your CD about a week ago. I love it. One of the best CD's I have, with a song for every occasion. I was just wondering two things. First, if you play anywhere other than Downtime or in NY in general, The second, If you or anyone else has published a sheet music/tab book for this CD. Best of luck in the future.

Hey Askold. I wrote a few months back concerning a Deftones song that I couldn't figure out. I never heard from your acquaintance at Guitar World, and we still can't figure out how to play it... But now I write to you with a more pressing issue. About two years ago when I was sixteen, one of my best friends was shot and killed in a gun accident in the summer. Well, this year, he would have graduated with us, and being a member of the school's chamber choir and a Missouri All-State choir member, I've decided to sing and play Angel's Son by Lajon Witherspoon at the choir's annual pop concert in April in remembrance of him. The only thing stopping me was the song's notoriety for being insanely hard to play. I was lucky enough to find the proper tuning for it in a magazine(D-A-D-G-C-D), but it only showed me the intro. There are a couple guitar parts in the recording, and I'm having a hard time picking out the right one to play. Anyway, I know you have a vast guitar knowledge, so do you know of any places where I could find the proper tablature? I don't trust regular tab sites anymore. If there are any magazine back isssues you know of that I could get, that would be great. So, thank you very much for your time. P.S. I want to say that the article you did on Lit's guitarist Jeremy Popoff was fantastic. Listening to Lit's first album practically taught me guitar. I learned about rhythm, harmonics, palm muting and the never ending quest for tone from Mr. Popoff. Imagine how stoked I was when I caught one of his picks at their show! Anyway, in your interview, you asked all the right questions, and it has since made me a better player. I now tuned down to E flat all the time, and I keep learning more. So good luck to you, and keep up the good work!!!

Well, I've been playing for about 6 years, and I read Mr. Buk's stuff in Guitar World. Well, I came across this song called "Korea" by Deftones. Well, my friend Zach has really good ears, and he tabs songs for me a lot. Well, this song Korea has us both totally stumped. And no one on the net has tabbed it right. So I would really appreciate it if Mr. Buk or someone else here could tab it for me, and email it to me. So, thanks. --Blake
